Since 1959, the nonprofit Fairytale Town has proffered more than 25 colorful fairy-tale play sets, farm animals, and educational gardens within a 2.5-acre children's play park and outdoor museum. June 11 marks the park's annual fundraiser event Humpty's Western Round-Up, which will pull at the audience's eye- and ear-strings with a live performance by The Dave Russell Band. Other kid-centric activities include a host of western-themed diversions, such as a trick roping demonstration, miniature horses, and a faithful recreation of scenes from Hansel and Gretel at the O.K. Corral. Peckish families can fill their stomachs with the included barbecue dinner and ice-cream dessert, and they can sate their appetite for narrative-based adventure with complete access to the park.
